March 23, 2007
RIDGEFIELD, CT – 3/23/2007 – The Town of Ridgefield and Hudson Baylor Corporation is pleased to announce an ambitious office recycling program aimed at capturing office paper and other recyclables. The program is designed to divert a significant amount of material from the solid waste stream while increasing the role of recycling in the workplace. Hudson Baylor does not plan to charge for the office recycling containers or the weekly pickups. Education efforts will be spearheaded in coordination with the Town and Hudson Baylor. Hudson Baylor has operated the Ridgefield Recycling Center since 1991. Scott Tenney, President of Hudson Baylor and a long-time resident of Ridgefield, CT is excited with the expansion of the Town’s recycling program, ‘I’m excited Hudson Baylor is able to continue to enhance the Town’s current recycling program.’ It is anticipated the program will divert over 10 tons of recyclable material from the waste stream. Hudson Baylor has successfully implemented similar programs with the City of Newburgh, New York.
