Hudson Baylor Celebrates 25th Anniversary

September 13, 2008

Over 200 guests joined hosts Scott Tenney, founder of Hudson Baylor, and his wife Patricia at the Powelton Club in Newburgh, NY to celebrate the first twenty-five years of the Hudson Baylor Group. Attendees included employees from each of the facilities in Arizona, Connecticut, and New York, their spouses, and customer and supplier representatives. The dinner dance capped a weekend of activities including a scenic Hudson River cruise for out-of-town guests. At the dinner, guests heard speeches from Hudson Baylor senior. Steve Hastings, Hudson Baylor’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, gave the crowd some perspective when he told them that in 1983, Hudson Baylor had one plant, six employees, and one customer. Since then, the company has grown to ten plants, over five hundred customers and more than three hundred employees. Hastings continued by telling the gathering that “every successful company has great employees and HB is no different … Our team believes in what they do and delivers with commitment and enthusiasm every day. We are here tonight because of our employees. We will grow during the next 25 years with vision – hard work – but most importantly great people!” Herzog, VP of Business Development, narrated a slide show with pictures of each of the HB facilities and Flanagan, VP of Operations, engaged the attendees with an enthusiastic poem – in both English and Spanish. Reflecting on the past quarter-century, Tenney thanked all the employees while noting that the Company’s recent growth has been dramatic. “We’ve more than doubled our size over the last five years, adding four new locations, six new municipal customers, and redeveloping our Hartford-area plant. We’re not done yet. We intend to continue to grow, and grow profitably, for the next 25 years.”
